Who We Are
Founded in January 2018, Empowered is a student-led educational development consulting organization based at New York University. We partner with education nonprofits and schools to deliver research-backed strategies that expand access, strengthen programs, and improve outcomes.
Our teams bring together students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to educational equity. Through semester-long consulting engagements, we work closely with organizations to understand their challenges, develop tailored solutions, and support meaningful, lasting impact.

The Challenge
We're Addressing
Educational inequity in the United States remains one of the most persistent barriers to social mobility. Nowhere is this more visible than in New York City, where schools located just blocks apart can offer vastly different opportunities and outcomes.
